Champaign, OH: Every Picture Tells A Story, Don't It?
Every picture tells a story, don’t it?…
Every picture tells a story, don’t it?…
Every picture tells a story, don’t it?…
(Rod Stewart – Every Picture Tells A Story)
Today is Sunday, and like on most Sundays, your market manager spends the morning downing massive amounts of coffee, reading emails, organizing social media, getting caught up on paperwork, and planning for the week. I am also getting ready to open up a new shop, so I am busy with the planning, décor, concept. If I take care of all this on Sunday, I cannot tell you how calm it makes me when I wake up early, on Monday.
And, you all know me so well, by now, that you know I cannot do any task without a blaring soundtrack! This morning is old school Rod Stewart. I mean, who wasn’t rockin’ out to this whole album at some point in the ’70s?
Anyway, the title of this song just made me think of this little market of love. Yes, the title, not so much the whole premise of the song.
This market always seems to be telling a story, telling IT’S story, painting a picture of where we are going, how far we have come, how we hope to see the future.
Everything about this market tells a story… the vendors, the products, the YMCA as our host, you, the customers!!! We are all colorful pieces of the picture…the vibrant picture that tells a weekly story of this very successful local market!
Our story is rich, it’s exciting, and we are going full steam ahead…the picture is clear, we are a bona fide hit!
It’s Sunday, it’s gloomy…why not put a soundtrack of your own on to play, grab a cup of coffee or tea (hey, we offer both!), and get your orders in…
Be part of the local picture…keep our story groovy…
Peace and Love,
Cosmic Pam

Green Pastures posts…
Many of the great historical cultures had one sacred food which they relied on to ensure strong mind, body, and spirit: Fermented fish/fish liver oil. The Mighty Roman Soldier was given a daily ration of fermented fish oil. The Stoic Scandinavian Viking had a drum of fermenting cod livers outside the door of his home. Grandma always had a bottle of cod liver oil in the back cupboard.
If you ordered from Mother Earth Meats, please email us the order so we can make sure we have all you purchased!

Tell your friends about us so we can keep the Growers supported as this is how they make their living. *

Market News
Welcome back to another week of local products. We want to welcome Franklin Juice Company to the Market. Brent joins us this week offering several varieties for fresh juice.
Other items of interest this week:
The recent cold snap has really affected the produce available. With the sun and warmer temperatures we are getting this weekend, this should help all the produce get back to growing. Watch for more varieties soon.
Flying S Farms is introducing a new bread this week. It is a 7 Grain Sour Dough Bread and rolls that has a smooth soft texture, great for sandwiches or toasting.
Many people like chicken tenders. Now Wedge Oak Farm brings them to the Market. For those interested in the Super Bowl, which is still a couple weeks away, both Wedge Oak Farm and West Wind Farms have chicken wings that are perfect for any parties you might be attending.
There are plenty of other products available this week. Browse the categories to see what your will find.
Thanks so much for your support of Stones River Market, all of our growers, local food, and our rights to eat it. We’ll see you on Wednesday at Southern Stained Glass at 310 West Main Street from 5:00 to 6: 30 pm!

United States Virgin Islands: VI Locally Grown Market: Week of January 19, 2015
Good afternoon!
I’m Castiel, the new market and CSA coordinator at R2R. I’ve enjoyed getting to meet some of you at the market! One thing that has really helped us recently is feedback from our customers. For example, please request items if you don’t see them on the site! Often they’re growing on the farm, we just don’t know they are in demand so we don’t add them to the market site. So, please keep the feedback coming and as always thanks for supporting your local farmers and craft makers. The VI Locally Grown market is now open for orders!
Don’t miss out on Ridge to Reef farm’s mouthwatering mango fed local organic pork cuts, available for purchase at the market. We also recently added Surinam Cherries!
The new location for the market is a beautiful experience within itself. If you haven’t had a chance to see the Lawaetz Museum property at Little La Grange on Mahogany road, the market is a great opportunity to support your local farmers and enjoy the a local heritage site for St. Croix.
We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday.
-Castiel and your VI Locally Grown producers
CLG: Opening Bell: Let's Grill: Chops, Ribs, BBQ Sauce...
Good afternoon,
Why not take advantage of the mild weather and do some grilling? You can find all the best items at Conway Locally Grown: Chops, brats, steaks, ribs, jalapenos, burgers. And when they’re almost done, brush with some BBQ sauce for awesomeness. I just wish we had some zucchini and corn for the grill as well!
This will be the last market for January due to a scheduling conflict on Jan 30th, so order enough goodies to get you through 2 weeks.
Be sure to share us with your friends on Facebook, especially those who are concerned about where their food comes from. Remind them that we are the only farmers market in Conway open right now!
Available now!: ONLINE PAYMENT OPTION. When you are done shopping, just hit the “proceed to checkout” button in your cart. You will then see the option to “Pay Now” with credit card near the bottom. Just follow the prompts to add your card. Be sure to read the screen until you see “Thank you for your order” on the top. If you need help, please call 339-7958. A 3% online payment convenience fee will be added when your card is charged.
Check out all the Featured Products and use the SEARCH field on the main Market page to quickly find the items you want.
Come early on Friday for the best selection from the EXTRAS table.
The market is now OPEN for orders. Please check your email about 5 minutes after you place your order to make sure you get an order confirmation.
Have a great week!

I am happy to announce that we have been provided with some additional Double Dollar funding for SNAP benefits users. We will match purchases dollar for dollar up to $50.
If you place an order with the intention of using your SNAP card for payment, please make a note of this in the comments section on the check out screen. When you are placing your order, keep in mind that up to $50 of your order will be paid for using Double Dollars. So, you can order $100 and only use $50 in SNAP benefits and the rest will be paid for in Double Dollars. We will not be issuing scrips for this funding. It is solely for use towards purchases made through the online market and for Siloam Springs only. Double Dollar benefits will be applied after you place your order and a revised invoice will be emailed showing the remaining balance due at the time of order pick up. Email Stacy at farmersmarket@mainstreetsiloam.org if you have any questions.
