Foothills Market:  Weblog Entry

Foothills Market is open for the week!

The forecast is calling for a blast of cold weather at the end of the week, and what could be better on a cold evening than a bowl of hot soup? We have several soup starters on the market, like these ideas:

  • Chili made with beef chuck roast, ground beef or sausage;
  • Collards with ham hocks;
  • Chicken Noodle Soup made with pastured chicken;
  • Portuguese Kale and Chorizo Soup with fresh, local chorizo;
  • Cream of Mushroom Soup made at home and much superior to the canned stuff;
  • Sweet Potato, Pumpkin or Butternut Squash soup for a creamy, meatless dish.

Shop between now and Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., and we’ll have your order ready for pickup on Thursday afternoon – just in time for the cold weather!

Eat something fresh this week!

We will be having an indoor market this week (entrance through the rear of our building) at our regular hours from 4 to 6 PM on Wednesday, November 20. Melody will be here with all of her goodies, Kenny will be here with an array of fall greens, turnips, winter squash and more, Melanie will have eggs and we will have some kale and potatoes. No pre-ordering from us this week, but there will be a good selection of stuff on the tables. Hope you can make it!

Blessings,
Bob & Lynnita
